Proof against years

From the first Bougarini home built in Corfu till the present day, the most frequently asked question is “will these homes withstand the extensive rain fall and humidity in Corfu?”
The answer is yes.

Our homes are designed to withstand hot and humid climates as well as up to minus 60 below zero. Our timber frame construction is a completely sealed unit which has absolutely no direct contact with the elements. Even a wood rendered home has absolutely no problem with the damp climate of Corfu.

First of all we should say that our constructions are absolutely airtight, and that means that there is no contact with the exterior elements.
The shell is made by spruce which is the most suitable material for these construction and the common plaster that is usually used have been replaced with a new material, Dryvit®, which has savor feature the resilience, the weatherability and that gives 30 years at least guarantee.

Antiseismic

The way in which we construct our homes allows movement and the necessary elasticity in case of seismic shock, thus avoiding as much damage as possible.

This is checked over by an antiseismic building official who will give written clearance to the building.

Heat-insulating - reduce heating cost

In Corfu, as in many countries, damp and dry rot can cause a problem.
However, our wood frames houses allow us the dimensions for entire wall to ceiling insulation. Insulating your home provides a barrier against the elements and a thermal control, creating a warmer home in the winter months and allowing the house to breathe in the summer. We use a special, very adaptable material called Fiberock.
Combined with this, Bougarini Homes is proud to be the first to introduce to Corfu a material called Dryvit® and aqua panel.

Sound-absorbing
Fiberock insulation from Bougarini Homes stops noise pollution.
Keeping your noise in and exterior noise out, as well as providing that essential damp proofing and thermal insulation.
Fireproof
A common concern is housing is whether the property is fireproof?
No need to worry with Bougarini homes as we use only the safest materials that are guaranteed to protect you and your home. Our use of high resistant exterior insulation with an acrylic plaster leaves our homes ‘standing their ground’.
